Our brains need boredom to get creative. It's just in snapshots of boredom that this system switches off, and our minds move toward imaginative reasoning. Our brains don't simply stop when we're exhausted. They're still extremely dynamic, utilizing around 95 percent of the energy that an engaged mind requires.
